RSSKanthaswamy Audio Launched Function
Call him the rhythm master or the pied piper of Kollywood who has the audience swinging to his beats! Yes, Devi Sri Prasad, also known as “DSP” (he has a tattoo on his left arm that says “DSP” in gothic font) has arrived! He made the entire audience groove to his beats today at the official audio launch of Kanthaswamy (Mallana in Telugu) in Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam.
The function took of to a wonderful start, with dancers from Italy specially flown in to shake a leg, while Devi Sri Prasad performed! Vikram, who plays the lead role in the film, has sung four songs and going by the trailers and sneak peak which we got to see, it looks like all of them would go on to be chartbusters!
Devi Sri Prasad was clearly excited, as he continuously tried to pump up the energy level of the audience and even danced for a song! When asked to speak, he said he has tried to come out with something new which is sure to strike a chord with the youth audience. Thanking his supporters, he said that all credit goes to director Susi Ganesan. He went on to say that while composing for Kanthaswamy, there were positive vibes from director Susi Ganesan which actually helped him visualize every bit of those songs. A lot of energy has been packed into it, as the film is a super hero subject.
When director Susi Ganesan spoke, he said that he was very clear that he wanted music tht would connect with today’s youth and Devi Sri Prasad worked hard, day and night to get the right tunes in place. He also thanked producer Kalaipuli S. Dhanu for all the support, saying he was the main pillar of strength for everyone!
The first song in the album is ‘Excuse me Mr. Kanthaswamy’, sung by Suchitra and Vikram. This song is (obviously) about the heroine asking Kanthaswamy for a coffee.
The second song sung by Rita has been pictured on Shriya Saran with professional ballet dancers in the backdrop of a opera house, and starts with the word ‘Allgra’. The third song is again another peppy number ‘Mia Mia Pole’, while the fourth song has lyricist Viveka describing all the available snack items in town, from vadai to sundal. The fifth song is ‘Mambo Mamia’ which has been shot in Mexico known for its famous bull fights!
The movie is expected to be released soon. The function was attended by several dignitaries in the city, including Abhirami Ramanathan, ‘Nakeeran’ Editor Gopal, and other industrialists who are associated with the Kanthaswamy Foundation.
The audio release function clearly proved that Devi Sri Prasad is here to stay. He called himself a man of rhythm, and what he has churned out for Kanthaswamy is rhythm divine ! – Galatta.com
