RSSJeevan in Krishna Leelai – Trailer
Director K Balachander’s ‘Kavithalaya Films’ is producing its 52nd film titled Krishna Leelai. Directed by Selvan (of Soori fame), this film has Jeevan and new face Meghna.
Says Jeevan: “I have a new look for a song that we have just shot”. Though the stubble will be back soon, this is perhaps his first movie without his famous lustrous locks! So what is the film all about? “It is a romantic action film with a social message,” says director Selvan.
Explaining the title he adds, “Lord Krishna performed many Leelai’s and one of them was to protect dharma. But he used no weapons in the process of destroying villainy. My hero too, uses his intelligence to protect good people and uphold dharma.”
Romance is in the right mix with debutant heroine Meghna, who is from Bangalore and daughter of actor parents Sunder Raj (remember Thappu Thaalangal?) and Premila.
The hero is a student aspiring to be an IAS officer while Meghna works in a finance company. Jeevan for a change is not playing a character with shades of grey! Fights, comedy, action and all the masala in a Jeevan film are intact in this one too, he promises.
The shooting schedule in Chennai is on while the remaining part will be shot in Salem, Madurai, Pazhani and in other parts of the state. Music is by Srikanth Deva and lyrics are by Na Muthukumar while Thalapathy Dinesh handles stunts. Jeevan is the cinematographer while Kalyan, Dina and Dinesh handle the dances. Vivek, Kota Srinivasa Rao and Kalabavan Mani make up the rest of the cast.
Director Selvan is all praise for KB: “The banner and hero are excellent. It’s been a very pleasant experience so far.” Said Meghna: “My dad has worked has with Kavithalaya and it’s a great honour for me to be starting my film career with such an illustrious banner.” The director assures us that the climax is going to be very different.
