A Staunch Eelam supporter Mampalam Swamy Passes Away in U.S

New Jersey: Fr. Thevathasan Antony, Staunch Eelam supporter, ardent lover of Tamil language, its heritage, tirelessly worked to bring the awareness of the Eelam Tamils plights and their sixty years of long struggle for freedom with dignity to the international arena has passed away in New Jersey hospital in US, on December 14th, 2008. He was very fondly known as “Maampalam Swamy” and “Father Maampalam” by his people in Eelam and abroad. Mambalam Swamy was a prominent Tamil Eelam activist, an author of many books, articles and songs on Eelam and Tamils struggle for the freedom. When he was in Tamil Eelam he was involved in Tamil National struggle and through his democratic path he justified the Tamils’ freedom struggle in the International arena. He was also very eloquent speaker and continued his relentless and invaluable services to his people until his untimely demise. more details
